Letters to the Editor

I read your editorial on reappointment, promotion, and tenure for extension appointments with great interest as soon as I received the Forum. I agree with you and hope that during my lifetime there will be equal respect and rewards for the roles (teaching, extension, and research) that all faculty have in the university.

Seldom will you find a person who is excellent in everything they do. It seems so logical to me that if we would respect the roles that others have in the university and adequately acknowledge the importance of their contributions, the university community and society would be better off.
