Welcome!

Family and consumer issues generally focus around the quality of life that people have or wish to attain. This issue of The Forum includes two program articles and three applied research articles that are mainly focused on selected aspects of health. These articles discuss: assessing dressing and eating behaviors of females as signs of the stress they are enduring; taking a health-centered approach to changing diet and activity levels to achieve better health; using teens as peer nutrition educators to teach and motivate teens to eat healthier during pregnancy; recognizing signs of unhealthy partners and the steps to developing healthy and safe relationships; and increasing physical activity and social connectivity through a community-based walking program. These articles show some innovative approaches and techniques and are rich with practical information for the educator’s use. As always, it is my hope that you will read the articles, use the

information, and enjoy the experience.
